Salary went into my account on the 1st (Friday).

Potential problem is that I won't get the June pay slip until some time next week - so won't be able to present it with my application.

I did manage to get a summary bank statement (stamped & signed) showing the June salary going into my account.

Could this be a problem?

Thanks
Why is the June payslip important? Were you being paid below the COP rate before June?

Reading this post should also help.

Thanks for the advice.

My salary is above the COP and has been for past 18m.

I just thought that not providing latest (as in current month) payslip may cause a problem.

After reading your post, I'm satisfied that it won't.

Thanks again!

Got me an ILR stamp :)

Interview was uneventful.

Got in 30 mins before my appointment. Made a payment, then went into the waiting room.

My number was called after about an hour.

IO started asking for documents, but I couldn't hear a word he was saying because of the noise. I just started shoving required docs down the counter drawer.

Docs submitted:
- application form
- 3 bank statements (inc stamped printout showing June salary)
- 3 pay slips (excl June payslip; salary 33% higher than the initial; with 20% raise at one point; IO did not ask for any clarification)
- passports (wp visa was in the expired one)
- employer letter (used the template from this website; HR modified it a bit)
- life in the uk test certificate
- 5 x P60
- photos
- spreadsheet w absences (175 days excl departing/arrival days; all holidays; around 40 were unpaid)

After IO reviewed the docs he said all looked fine, come back in 90 mins. After 2h I was out and about in Croydon town center with an ILR sticker in my passport.

It may be worth noting that UKBA staff were quite helpful & friendly - then again they did take £1350 of my hard earned cash for what seemed like 20 mins job :)

Good luck to the people still in the process!

IO saw P60s in my folder while I was looking for my pay slips and made a gesture to terms of "hand those over as well please" (he hasn't explicitly asked for all P60s)...

Forgot to mention - I've also presented the IRIS log (they emailed it to me earlier), which IO kept.

See here

Relevance to ILR is that when you use IRIS, you don't get a stamped on entry - which makes it difficult for the IO to asses the absences from the UK.

Application

Post by a_d » Tue Jul 05, 2011 5:38 pm

Congrats on your approved IRL!!

I am ready to apply for IRL in 6 weeks and was thinking of using a solicitor to submitted my application, however they are looking at £1000 +.

Did you use a solicitor? Or can I do this myself? My only worry is that I have all the correct information as I do not want a refusal.

If I am refused when can I apply again?

If yu have complete papers then my advice would be to apply yourself. Unless you are pretty rich. Which visa are you on and what docs do you have would help the mods to ans your questions.

Thanks for your reply.

I am on a work permit and the extension expires mid sept that is why i am concerned. No i am not rich but thinking of the peace of mind!

I have a letter from my employer stating how long i have worked for the company and that I am still employed, but nothing like some of the templates that i have seen on this forum.

What type of wording is needed for the employer letter?

Other documents I have are payslips and bank statements original work permits. This is where I am at to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.!!
