Hi they have done the same thing to me yesterday and they clearly said that we do check with hmrc, plus we will collect your passport and other document from other coleage departments.walkingintherain wrote:Hello friends,
Just a quick overview of my situation.
Applied for ILR (10 yrs route) at Sheffield premium service two weeks ago. A letter was handed over to me stating that the application is valid but further checks will be carried out to get a decision & retrieve my passport from another department.
I had already applied for Tier 1 Extension about 8 months ago and the decision on that application was still pending at the time of application for ILR.
A week ago, they withdrew my Tier 1 Extension application, refunded my IHS surcharges, and sent me all the related documents with a letter stating that hence I apllied for ILR, this T1 application is no more valid & that they have forwarded my passport to the ILR department.
Just wanted to know how long it will take to get a decision & that will there be any checks related to my T1 application?
Hiya I applied 26 September 2016 did my biometric a week later and got my indefinite on 26 Jan 2017.....Phoenix24 wrote:Hi All
Applied for the wife's ILR visa on Long residence second week of september. Biometric done on last week of september. Still haven't gone anything back. I am aware that it is still within 6 months but was wondering if anybody else has heard anything who applied around the same time.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
Do you mind if you share the documents submitted to the HO?greatsurya wrote:I just received an approved letter for my 10 years Long residence ILR application. I thought, posting the processing time would help people waiting/applying for ILR based on this route.

Documents submitted;Chez123 wrote:Hi everyone. Just received my ILR 10yrs Jan 26th.
My time line;
Came to UK 2006 student route and psw
all took 8 years and a half
Spouse route on EEA for 1 year and a half.
Applied 26th of Sept 2016.
Received a letter 24 Jan 2017 for service of decision on 25th of January. Didn't attend as timing was too short. Contacted the home office to tell them I couldn't make it due to short timing and personal commitment and on 26th my ILR was approved and sent to me through post instead. All smiles!
Have you applied for ILR based on Tier 1 General or on 10 years long residence?Imdesi wrote:I applied for ilr on 1st feb postal application payment deducted on 7th feb.. haven't got a biomteric appointment letter yet![]()
Anyone in same boat? I was on tier 1 general and self employed.
Assuming you have only applied this month, suggest be patient and wait. It can take a few weeks to get biometric letter.Imdesi wrote:Applied based on 10 years long route
No, it is the date you ENTERED the UK that is the start of the qualifying period. Long residence doesn't permit a split of absences like the PBS routes do. Any single absence of 180 days or more is a break in your continuity of residence.msree wrote:Hi CR001,
Can you help me on below doubt regarding 10 year ILR.
how 12 month period will be calulated. visa issue date is my start date of 10 year route?
in that case see my below 10 year period
Arrived in UK 8 feb 2008 as Student
Left from UK 30 Oct 2010 as student
Arrived in UK 04 May 2011 as PSW
So no visa between 1 nov 2010 to 03 may 2011 which is 184 days , is this will be split in two parts?like below then will i be eligible for ILR in 1 feb 2018?
1 feb 2008 - 1 feb 2009
1 feb 2009 - 1 feb 2010
1 feb 2010 - 1 feb 2011---93 days absence
1 feb 2011 - 1 feb 2012--92 days absence
1 feb 2012 - 1 feb 2013
1 feb 2013 - 1 feb 2014
1 feb 2014 - 1 feb 2015
1 feb 2015 - 1 feb 2016
1 feb 2016 - 1 feb 2017
1 feb 2017 - 1 feb 2018
Hi,pampito wrote:Hi Guys,
I am filling SET LR forum and I am confused with 2 questions, please help me to clarify.
I arrived here on 10 March 2007 and I will apply to my my indefinite leave next week. My application will be with in with in 28 days of period qualified period so,
Q1) on the application form, question E13 asks, "How long have you lived in UK?", should I answer 9 years 11 month or 10 years 00 months? I am confused as I am applying within 28 day of qualifying period of 10 years.
Q2) question D3 askes "reason for short absence" , shall I just write reasons such as holiday, family visit, business trip etc. visa extension, is those good enough or ok reasons?
thank you in advance.

You need to write down the exact duration from the time you've lived in the country. Obviously since you're applying 28 days prior to completing your 10 years whcih is permissible, it will not be an issue but to be on the safer side you can write down this in the additional information on the form
Q2) question D3 askes "reason for short absence" , shall I just write reasons such as holiday, family visit, business trip etc. visa extension, is those good enough or ok reasons? Yes these reasons are fine. I wrote the same
thank you in advance.
Omi Boy wrote:Hey All ,
i went for my 10 years Long Residence premium service and they retained my profile by saying that your application is Valid but we need more assistance. I specifically ask the case worker about exact reason and she said we need your old passports which are already holding by Home office in my last application of Tier 1 Entrepreneur and it was refused but i went for appeal.
Anyone knows how long they normally take to respond in that kind of case ?
Do you think my application has been approved but just becz of missing passports they hold it ??
I never been out of UK more then 80 days in my 10 years history
b52 wrote:I am currently waiting appeal to be listed on refusal of 10 years long residence application. I got refusal in May 2016. It is 8 months since then , not heard yet.
Does any one know waiting times of appeals in UK.
I sent request to immigration tribunal via local MP , stating medical urgency of parents who need me in Pakistan. I sent pictures , X-rays and medical reports of my father.
Today i received letter from Immigration tribunal caseworker who replied that my appeal cannot be expedited.
Reason of refusal was error in self assessment income.
