I totally agree with you. My employer has spend thousands training me as well. I am relatively in a senior position and they would be devastated if I had to leave due to this new policy.moneypenny wrote:I completely agree that it seems ridiculous to apply this to extension applications. How disruptive is it to your UK employer if you have to return home? I personally work for a very small company. My employer spent thousands of pounds training me. If I had to leave it would seriously seriously effect his business. I am sure I am not the only person whose employer would be put in a horrible place if one of their workers left.
Reading the statement from the HO though it does clearly say, workers coming to the UK.
"tighten new criteria against which highly skilled migrants seeking entry to the United Kingdom are judged, by raising the qualifications and salary required for tier 1 of the PBS to a Master's degree and a minimum salary of £20,000."
In the case of extensions you have already gained entry... Maybe that is just me being optimistic though!
No it would not affect you at all. Only that you start for your masters so that you are eligible for extension next time. And yes may be even PHD you never know about HO.alokchamp_f1 wrote:Hi All,
