How do u know your case is assigned to caseworker on 8th April. Did u call the home office....then how did u manage to get this answer from them.

I called on 7th Apr, answer was has not been assigned to caseworker yet.
I called in 9th Apr morning, answer was with caseworker ,no decision yet.

Base on the assumption that HO was telling me the truth:
You can assume it has been assigned on 8th Apr even if my money being debited around 20th March, seems a bit slow though.

1. Applied within UK
2. My current account (which anyway you have to show for earnings proof) plus my savings account statement. All was from my account
3. No seperate covering letter for maintenance.

I have a very imp and urgent doubt. Can somebody please clear it. I am claiming my previous earnings for the period of Mar 2007 to Feb 2008 with my Indian salary. But I was in UK in the month of Aug 2007 and so I am excluding this months salary.

So is it ok as I am not actually showing a continuous salary of 12 months.

Please suggest.

I Abhishek Agrawal currently works in XXX Limited as Senior Consultant. I have claimed 40 points in the previous earnings section for salary earned by me from my current employer, XXXX, India. My claim period is from March 2007 to February 2008(12 months).

During July / August 2007, I was in UK on deputation for 28 days (29th July 2007 to 25th Aug 2007). During this period, I got my Indian salary as well as living allowance in UK. I would like to exclude this period for calculating points for my previous earnings for the ease of the Assessing Officer and save the hassles of considering multiple periods with various multiplying factors.

As per the tier1genpolicyguide document available on Border and Immigration Agency website, I have provided two required evidences. I request you to kindly consider the evidences provided by me and grant me the points I claimed for.

Required Evidences

1) Salary Slips

I get monthly salary slips as a PDF file. I’ve taken their prints, got them signed and stamped by Finance Department. I am claiming my monthly gross salary that includes monetary benefits like Medical, Meal Coupons, incentives and Consolidated Allowance for your kind consideration. Also the account number is mentioned on the pay slips. Please find the 12 salary slips (March 2007 – February 2008) as enclosed.

Total Gross Salary as in pay slips (excluding salary of August 2007) – INR XXX.27
As per www.oanda.com Currency Converter, Mid-market rates as of 2008-Feb-29 is
1 INR = .01265 GBP
INR XXX.27 = GBP XXX
As per uplift calculator available on agency website,
total earnings= GBP XXX

I have attached the excel sheet with details of my gross and net earnings in the format available on the Border and Immigration Agency website.

Please note that Net salary is credited to the bank account only after deducting Income tax, profession tax, security deposit advance, PF etc… from the gross salary.

I guess you can submit the payslip of August'07 and ignore the allowances that you received in UK. In that case, you will have continuous 12 months payslips.

Thanks for the reply. But I beleive if you are ot in the same country where you are being paid the salary, you can't claim points for that.
