I applied for PR on 27th of Ocrtober and I requested my passport 2 times. Does anybody know the number to contact to check why I have not received my passport yet.

There isn't such a number really.

Still there's not guarantee they will actually bother to send your passport too soon. There are instances on this forum when people (including myself) had to wait many months to get their id back.

I am still waiting for my permanent residence card it has been nearly 4 months, I am married to a British national as well but still is taking long. Any idea how long it could take?

I come from EU country. I have been living in the UK for 6 years.

I filled up the application, sent all the documents for the last 5 years . I made sure that all the details from the goverment guidance where enclose. some of them where missing like letters confirming employment.however I have added for each one of my previous employments alternative evidence(p45, contract of employment and p1).As well, I have added a cover letter explaining why some of the letters confirming employment where missing.

Application was delivered on 11/08/16 ( I sent it by special delivery day earlier)
Payment taken on 12/08/16 under reference EURO LIVERPOOL GBR

I was expecting to take longer because when I applied I ha several jobs.on the other hand I am confused because the letter from the home office said that have acquired my DCPR was the 5th of April but I did start to work just 3 month later, Can anyone explain me why they counted 3 month before even If i was unemployed and I didnt provide any evidence dated April 2011?

Does it mean that i can apply for naturalization the 5th of April of 2017?

Yes, April 2017 if not married to British spouse. Apply via NCS so NCS can check on HO hotline before you hand over full AN fee.

Just a quick question. I applied for the Permanent Residence card rather than certificate. I thought it would be a plastic ID-like card, but I received a blue paper document with a vignette of DCPR. Am I supposed to receive the card as well? I don't understand what is the difference between the card and the certificate (other than the plastic card being more practical).

I have been following this forum for a while and would like to share my timeline. i couldn't believe i received my decision so quick. just to let people know that i am the non EEA national making the application. i thought my situation was a bit dicey as i am over 21 and have been working full time throughout my 5 year stay in the uk so i was wondering how do i prove dependency on the eea national who is my dad. i filled the application myself without a solicitor and enclosed the application with a cover letter and all the necessary documents. time line below:
Date Application sent: 26 August,16
Application Received by HO: 27 August,16 (special delivery guaranteed)
Money taken out from bank account: 30 August,16
Biometric letter received: 19 September,16 dated on: 15 Sept,16
Biometrics enrolled on: 19 September,16
COA: did not receive any so i emailed HO and requested for it and they sent it
COA received date: 1 November,16 Dated of issue: 28 October,16
PR date of issue: 7 December,16
PR letter and documents received date: 10 December,16

I couldn't believe it as it less than the expected 6 months stipulated time. i'm really glad and excited about this. A key advice to all is to organise your documents very well to make it very easy for the case workers dealing with it. Thanks to all and goodluck to all and sundry.

Hi everyone I wanted to post my updated timeline, it took just about 100 days so I consider myself lucky!
My case was straight forward, eu national in the U.K. For 8 years and last 5 with same employer.

I made this. I used I think all entries I could find from mid June until today. This uses only timelines from EEA nationals.

x axis is the date HO received the documents. y axis is waiting time until DCPR was received (NOT DCPR date)

Although the sample is of only 37, I think it's safe to say that waiting times have drastically improved from June until August. For example:

18 applications from July. Average waiting time: 130 days
10 applications from August. Average waiting time: 105 days

You get a letter stating the day you are deemed to have become a permanent resident and explaining that unless you are married to a Brit; you need to wait 12 months from that date to apply for citizenship if you wish to.

I came here first as a student and the worked for 4.5 years. They started counting from the day my course started; although I arrived a bit earlier to look for accommodation. During the time I was looking for accommodation and I was financially self sufficient and had CSI so I think I was exercising treating rights from day 1, and they were a bit measly. But I am not appealing, as it is only a couple of weeks.

I'll be back on this thread in may when I apply for my non-EU husband's PR. See you all then and good luck

I read this forum many times and now that I have received my PR and applied for Citizenship I thought I would contribute and share my timeline.
I had to ask for my passport 3 times (after 10 working days each time) and finally got my passport back.
It took about 5 months in total for the PR.

But my own experience started to worry me, especially as my sister got hers back mid-November after submitting in mid-July, and my friend just got hers back today after submitting in mid-August. I'm at 135 days and counting...

So I thought I'd share my timeline in case anyone else is in the same boat as me. Maybe there are a few case workers who are just taking longer than others. I believe my case is straightforward. EU citizen, lived here 16 years, last 13 of these in continuous, full-time employment with two companies.

I don't think it matters that much how simple or complex your case is. It may help them a little bit if it's simple or if you include a cover letter or extra helping letters, but I don't think it makes a massive difference. Also that doesn't change the fact that they have hundreds or maybe thousands of cases to solve before they get to yours...

Hi Guys
I have applied for permanent residence card and it came today! .Greek National 6.5 years in U.K. (Studying for 4 years full time BEng and MSc and working for 2,5 years, 2 different employers)
Let me post my timeline here
1) application sent :03/09/16 (first class,signed for)
2)application recieved from Home office :05/09/16
3)Money taken for the application : 06/09/16 ( 65 pounds with a reference as EU Liverpool, I filled in my credit card details although some prefer Cheque which takes longer to process)
4)confirmation email from Home office showing case ID number :26/9/16 (You shouldn't worry that much if you don't get it the process is standard, mine went to my junk folder and saw it by accident
5)PR card issued by home office :13/12/16 (they have sent everything in one envelope, the blue card with a letter of approval with regards to when I can apply for British citizenship and all my paperwork as it was sent to them)
6) PR card with all documentation : came on the 17/12/16.postman arrived 0930 in the morning .( I have supplied the home office with a prepaid envelope and they have placed everything inside,paperwork separately and permanent residence card with letter separately too)
My case wasn't the easiest one. I gathered all my documents and separated them in chapters with numbers explaining what was each original document.This makes the life of case workers easier.my advise to anyone applying : Read the guidance notes carefully, prepare a personal statement explaining your case and try to organise your papers as much as possible .this will make the process faster .you need CSI Insurance if you were studying full time .i have provided this from my relevant sector in Greece were I was insured and translated everything .
Total waiting time 104 days (as I was expecting from what I read on this forum)
