You can go to the post office and get the form thereBobSteel wrote:I can't find a FAQ here, but how can I apply the postal route for a passport without waiting for them to post a form to me? Is there a form on the web i can just print and post myself?
Thanks!
Hi Derivaz - just checking to see if you have received you interview letter and documents back? I have just applied this past Saturday and got the text acknowledging my application yesterday, so I am very interested with the timelines of others that applied in January.Derivaz wrote:I submitted my application on the 3rd and got a notification text saying that they received it, on the 7th; i also emailed them to let them know the spelling of my post code in case they misread it and they replied saying that it was fine.
So I should expect the interview letter and documents back this week, correct?
Cheers

If neither of you hold ILR or citizenship, your child will not be entitled to British citizenship.sandeep1981 wrote:Hi,
I am here on tier 2(ICT) visa short term (1year). Me and my wife are expecting our first baby on july. neither of us are british citizens. My question here is will my child be entitled to for a British citizenship?
Did you send the original or a copy?RatMonkey wrote:I just received a letter from HM passport office saying my naturalisation certificate has no date and that I need to send a replacement! I used post office check and send. I would appreciate any advice or tips to get this fixed as quickly as possible.
Sounds slow even for a pre-Xmas application. Maybe worth checking with the countersignatory. Sometimes they try to contact them which slows the process.Plum70 wrote:Hi All,
I'm enquiring on behalf of my husband who is too "laid back" to bother!
He applied for his 1st British passport on 23rd December by SD post. He did check and it was delivered to HM Passport Office plus they also debited the fee. However since then there hasn't been a squeak, no text confirmation, letter...nothing.
Could it be that his application might have been caught up in a pre-Xmas backlog? I think he should be chasing this up as it seems unusually drawn out - mine only took 3 weeks - but he doesn't seem that concerned.
Any thoughts?
Cheers Jambo. I thought so too.Jambo wrote: Sounds slow even for a pre-Xmas application. Maybe worth checking with the countersignatory. Sometimes they try to contact them which slows the process.
It can take up to 6 months for HO to process a BC application (i.e. 5 May 2014), and it's only been 3 months. If the HO had asked for more documentation and you had not responded then they would have highlighted this in their email to you.alanao wrote:Hi everyone,
I just found this board after wondering about what has happened to my application.
I submitted my BC application through the Wandsworth NCS on the 5th November with the HO taking the funds for the application on the 10 January.
I have not received any letter from the HO acknowledging my application and that it is being processed.
I have contacted the HO through their email but they only informed me that they are still going through the process.
I am worried that they have requested further documentation and I did not get the letter.
Is there anyway for me to check whether they have sent a leller to me? I am just worried that my mail may have gone missing.
Thanks for any assistance.
Regards
Al
I'm returning to say that the situation was exactly as you deduced. My husband's counter-signatory told him today that they received a reminder letter from the passport office as a follow up to one they'd sent in January which never arrived.Jambo wrote:Sounds slow even for a pre-Xmas application. Quick question- does anyone know in what circumstances i am required to include my grandparent details (place of birth, date of birth, date of marriage) in section 8 of the application form? I read somewhere that this is not required if being naturalised in the UK.
thanks
Where did you read that?euhsi wrote:Hi All,
