Ahh, atlast I was able to go through the helpline.. they said they "think" the decision has been made today and I should have something in POST in next 7-10 working days.. !

well Just keep on trying randomnly and trust your luck - instead of saying "cannot serve you at the moment", it randomnly said, the wait time is 4 minutes (it was a 15 minutes wait after that..)..

They said they sent "something" yesterday which should reach me within 2 weeks and if I don't get it to call them back in 2 weeks to chase it up. However, they could not tell me what that "something" is - a decision or request for further info or anything else The guy was very polite but sais that unfortunately he could not tell me this information and I just have to wait

one thing I want to share,I called HO on both 22/April and 25/April both time they said its under process. Now from HO letter its clear that decision was made on 14/April, so I must say the HO contact center guys don't have any correct information about the application.


one more thing I want to share that Council receives approval letter before the applicants so its worth checking with them too!!

Agree, I am not sure if they actually check your status, when call.

Though, I called council but they refused to give info without reference number on invitation letter.

Sooner or later it will come, I won't chase them anymore.

I have received brown enveloped from the home office but there is just mention Thank you for your recent inquiry about your application for British citizenship. I am writing to let you know that we are still dealing with the application and will inform you of our decision in due course.
I don't know what can happen with my application anyway I am still waiting since I was applied 21 Feb 2014 through NCS.

Hi All
I know how you may feel frustrated with the HO process however you need to understand that it will surely come. Some people have been able to compare them selves with others who received approvals but this isn't right because we are all different with completely different circumstances. I learnt one thing while dealing with Ho you need patience .

I think the caseworker had written the approval letter before UK Naric English language assessment reached so I think PBS printout + SOC + Uni letter for medium of instruction did the job.

It seems the delay is due to Royal Mail second class post. Everyone who is waiting in Feb 2014 approval, must call HO and find out the status.
