when i got my citizenship last january i called my council and booked ceremony u can call them and check if they recieved the letter from HOJenny177 wrote:Guys, I know this post is not for here but I've got a question.
I received my documents last week and the letter, stating that I should wait for an invitation to a ceremony, which may take approximately 2 weeks but as far as I can see, it normally comes straight after the documents. Should I call the HO and ask them whether they have actually sent it or wait?
But in the letter it's written that I should wait to receive an invitation and If I don't receive it in the next 2 weeks, then I have to contact them and ask.ah_kassem wrote:when i got my citizenship last january i called my council and booked ceremony u can call them and check if they recieved the letter from HOJenny177 wrote:Guys, I know this post is not for here but I've got a question.

You should probably just follow the instructions in the letter, which say to wait for two weeks and then get in touch.Jenny177 wrote:But in the letter it's written that I should wait to receive an invitation and If I don't receive it in the next 2 weeks, then I have to contact them and ask.ah_kassem wrote:when i got my citizenship last january i called my council and booked ceremony u can call them and check if they recieved the letter from HOJenny177 wrote:Guys, I know this post is not for here but I've got a question.

Part-1
I had printed out the form and partially filled it a few months before 28-OCT-2013. That did not mention the KOLL
requirements and it never occurred to me to go check if the form had changed. So only document satisfying KOLL
requirement sent at this time was the original pass letter of the Life in the UK test.
Part-2
Got a query to submit KOLL requirements. Emailed them docs on 18-JAN and got an automated reply saying
you will not receive any reply. So waited a few days and then sent email to another of their email addresses.
Got the standard no-reply email again. But finally someone there had the courtesy to reply on 22-JAN saying they cannot
accept email and need to send by post.
So posted the following docs on 24-JAN by 1st class - printout of Points Based assessment (PBS) from UKBA website for
my Indian degrees and photocopies of my degree certificates
(sorry just added little more info thinking it might help anyone in similar situation ..appreciate the forum very much)

it seems like your application has been successfully processed now. Congrats.
Could you please confirm:
1- Was your degree from India (and was it Bachelors or Masters)
2- if yes, did you validate your degree from NARIC? Did they confirm if it meets C1 criteria?
3- Which documents (exactly) did you send them as part 2 when requested?
I am in a similar situation with my wife :s. Her degree is not from UK and I have submitted our application as joint.
kind regards,
