Type of application: SET(O)

Date Applied: 05/03/12 postal application
Date of the acknowledgement letter: The following week.

Biometric letter: 10/04/12
Biometrics done: 01/05/12
Date of approval: No Idea !

So essentially, this is almost 9 months of no news/no decision.

Have called the UKBA twice with the "Application In Process" answer being given alongwith the mandatory "I have no more Information, you will have to wait".

This is pathetic. I do believe I am probably the only one from March 2012 left !

Hi all
I applied on 11th may 2012, done bio on 31th August and still waiting for my ILR set o. So many till called home office and their answer is simple,'' it's under process''. Don't knw what they r doing and why is this long and frustrating wait for. Is that the way to treat the people who r living in country? I'm so upset and in pain as my mum passed away and I couldn't travel coz of the home office delay.

Yes, we are following the same timeline! In fact, I think they treat applications submitted via advisers or lawyers separately.

3-4 months ??? - I hope we’ll get approval by the end of this year, some kind of Xmas present from HO. ))))

That would be a miracle of 34th street, or something like that!

Keep fingers crossed for both of us and the rest of applicants!

I was just looking at the June and July timelines. It looks like most of the June and July SET(M) application have recieved thier BRP.

I am SET(O) applicant. I wish I could recieve my BRP before end of December so that I can go for Holiday. The waiting is getting longer and longer.

Sorry to hear you about your Mum..Its is the similar situation last week when my wife's close relative died..Unfortunately UKBA does not understand any feeling or emotions....we can just pray to Allah...

ILR Approval - Waiting
BRP - Waiting
Documents - Waiting

Change of address meant they sent biometric invitation letters for my dependents to our old address even after changing it online. For some reason I had to call them to get them to send mine.

I have also noticed that they only put your application on their systems later after having received the postal applications.

Dear all,
Today I called UKBA to know the status of my application. After waiting about 15 min, a lady picked and said that system is showing that you case is not yet completed. Apart from this information she was unable to give any answer. So I concluded that calling is useless.
At last only one way to destination which is WAIT.
Is any other member of april-12 waiting? What is UKBA response? Please share.

I'm so glad that I've found this forum & can actually share my feeling with the same group of people after loosing so many nights of sleep after applying for my husband's ILR set(m)

Here is our timeline
Application was sent on 26-6-2012
Acknowledgement letter 28-6-2012
Biometric letter NEVER HAD ONE (me being thick that not knowing it needs doing again because he has it done 2 yrs ago when applying for spouse visa!!!)
Biometric enrolment NEVER HAD ONE
Approval letter & documents received 22-10-12 (Yes we did actually received a Approval letter stating that the BRP will arrive in 7 working day)
BRP received - obviously it hasn't come

But like I said as me being thick & as soon as we received his approval letter, we have booked a flight for going to his brothers wedding in Early Jan 2013, as we thought It shouldn't take 2 months for the BRP to arrive (not realising its not even been done!!!). As days go by, on 14th Nov I emailed the BRP delivery (as it says on the letter if he didn't received in 10 working days email them). The first response was its not a delivery enquiry, so can't help us. Emailed them again on the next day, second response was "your case is still being decided" (thinking WHAT?? We had approval letter) rang Helpline twice, been told to fax Liverpool UKBA a letter to explain the situation. Last week, we received his application back, stating that he didn't sign the declaration for Biometrics!!!! So it was like the worst day of my life!! anyway, got him to sign & send it straight back via special delivery & also fax them a letter on the same day explaining our situation (whether they will even look at it or not!!) and since I have been so worried & depressed about if he will still be able to travel in time, but I doubt it!! It's a non refundable flight cost us £550 each (4 of us traveling) I just can't sleep every night worrying about it. Obviously they have only realised that he never had his biometric when I made the enquiry. Sorry for the long story, but I'm so upset that I really need to express my feeling to someone. It has just been like a roller coaster ride for us, when we applied, we were hoping to here from them soon so we can book the flights, then when we received the approval letter & documents we were over the moon & thought finally there's light at the end of the tunnel. And now, everything has just screwed up.

Hi guyz my final post my BRP was delivered last night @ 19:00, the postman knocked at the door as i was not expecting any delivery at that time i thought it was my mate knocking at the door, but when i opened the door it was a postman and he asked me to sign i said to him hold on a sec let me get prove of identification and he said no need for that. and here we are i have everything now. looking for a cheap ticket now to go to africa for xmas me and my misses

I applied 2 weeks after with SET (O), would be nice to have this done this year

Wow! So no news from June SET O applicants yet?

Maybe I'm just beefing SET M, but why are they processing SET M much quicker than SET O? Considering that many on SET M only need 2 year stay while those on SET O are on at least 5 years....

On the whole, the waiting process sucks! I regret not looking hard enough for same day service as many of my friends did.

That's because UKBA believes in love more than they do in work ethics? :p
Just kidding. Maybe they regard marriage lower risk motivation, and have a policy to process them quick. BTW, some M case takes ages, so no need for "beefing"!

Finally I've received my BRP Card this morning!

Applied after 5 yrs Work Permit.
5yrs same address,
5yrs same job.

App Type: set(O) +3 dependants (wife+2 kids)
App Submitted: 11.06.2012
Biometrics Attended: 11.08.2012
Card Received: 28.11.2012

Approval date on card is 26.11.12. That means card has been produced and delivered within 2 days.
I haven't received approval letter or my old passport yet, probably I'll receive them within 2-3 days.

I know that I'm one of the first Set(O)-June applicant who received the card. Hopefully this means they've started to response June applications.

Yours could be on the way!!
