Hi asian_atheart, thanks for sharing your situation. Please keep update us once you have received any news from HO. Good luck!asian_atheart wrote:Hi all,
I just noticed this thread. My partner (EU National) sent his EEA-PR application on 4th April 2015. (Just a couple of days before the new biometric application came out. So he used the existing form (updated Jan 2015)
The timeline:
Application sent: 4th April 2015
Application received: 8th April 2015
Acknowledgement of receipt: dated: 10th April 2015
Payment taken: 13th April 2015
PR card: still waiting!
Basis of 5 years treaty rights:
3 years study (2008-2011)
2 years work (continues to work)
EHIC provided for all 5 years as he was paying social security in home country.
Sent originals of all documents along with photocopies.
All the best to those waiting/in the process of applying!! will keep you updated!
Hi marzena273, as far as I know HO do not keep originals. It clearly says on the form that you have to send the copies of the original documents. HO would keep the copies and once they have verify the original documents you post them then they would send back your documents to you...If I were you I would not risk it...marzena273 wrote:Hi everyone,
I know I have to submit the photocopies of all supporting documents. However, could I just include some note for HO that I don't submit the photocopies of statements as they can keep the original statements from the last 5 years? I know they might have some rules but I will through it away anyway...
Hi kobytee, based on the information you provided you cannot apply for permanent residence (EEA4) as you have not completed the 5 years period in the UK as a family member (as you are saying you have joined them recently)...kobytee wrote:Hello wonderful people
first if all my apologies if im not posting in the right forum...But i kindly need advice on my urgent situation as im confused.
I am a stepchild to a retired German Stepfather who got married to my mother about 4 and half years ago (2010) and I recently joined them (Stepfather and Mother) on a family permit In Jan 2015. My Stepfather has lived in UK since 2004 and got his Permanent card in 2011 but he stopped working in 2012 because he became blind. Now my mother is due to Apply for Permanent Residence in few months along with mine.
So I did some reading on the processes because i wasn't sure on the type of form i will quantify under.
1. Since my Stepfather is retired now and my their marriage has lasted almost 5years, should I apply for permanent residence as direct family member along when my mother is apply her's too Or apply residence permit and still have to wait till after 5years![]()
Because i read on the UK, EU regulations guidelines and it stated sometimes family members wont have to wait 5years in certain circumstances.
Thanks
Hi Annebee, have you applied recently? And received the biometrics enrolment letter? Can you share your timeline with us if you have already applied?Annebee wrote:Has anyone applied with the new EEA biometrics PR form?
How long does it take to receive the biometrics enrollment letter?
Does ur come before COA?
asian_atheart, a very big congratulations!asian_atheart wrote:Hi all,
An update on my partner's application. My EEA partner (Greek) received his PR card today in the post.
The timeline:
Application sent: 4th April 2015
Application received: 8th April 2015
Acknowledgement of receipt: dated: 10th April 2015
Payment taken: 13th April 2015
PR card: received today 19th May 2015 (Dated 15th May 2015)
On the whole processing time was about 6 weeks (though taking into consideration it was the Easter break and a Bank Holiday between processing-so in all a good time span!Hopefully should make our lives easier now)
Thanks for this great forum for all the advice-I'm sure I'll be needing more in the months to come!
Hi ankas, I was in similar situation too. It's almost impossible to list every single entry to the UK (especially for EU citizens). You just need to list the 5 years period no need to submit the entries between 2004 and 2010!ankas wrote:Hello,
I am an EEA family member currently getting my PR application ready to send. Some sections are rather confusing. Could someone who has gone through the process help out? In section 5 where they ask you the date first entered the UK and to list your absences; are we really supposed to write every little holiday we had since entering the country? We both came as students in 2004, that's over ten years...and my sponsor doesn't get passport stamps so how is he supposed to remember? Also shouldn't this be about the relevant 5 year period that I have been on the family member residence card?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
Many thanks Forza_RC! I wish it was time for my PR!Forza_RC wrote: Have you also applied for PR card? I mean was it a join application? And if yes are you a non-EEA citizen, if I may ask?
Hi zsozso1969,zsozso1969 wrote:Hi everybody, I'm going to fill form EEA(PR). I'm EU national, I'm in the UK since November 2005, my question is,
do I need to provide prove residency, work history etc. only for the first 5 years from Nov 2005 to Nov 2010, or I need to provide prove all years since Nov 2005 ?
Your help really appreciated,
Thanks
