Utterly ridiculous service. Compensation should be due to those with processing times such as these, the UKBA need to be held accountable. Simply inexcusable.

Hello Everyone, I hope someone can advise me on my problem which i think a lot of migrants must be facing.

I am about to apply for my tier 1 general extension, my visa will be expiring on 10th of May 2013, now because of the Visa fees increasing massively from 6th of April i want to apply before this date as i will be applying for 2 dependents as well.

I have been keeping an eye on "Tier 1 (General) extension application processing timelines" and it seems like people applying these days are getting there visa within a month and i have noticed some of them wont be able to complete full 5 Year route when they apply for ILR because they will be short of few days. I am making this assumption as some of the post above suggest there new Visa starts from before there existing visa expire and assuming there new visa will expire extely after 2 or 3 years from there "Date (new) leave to remain valid from"

my questions is about if this true to apply for ILR you need to have full 5 years in the same category or there is some relaxation if someone is shy of few days?

Also can please people start putting there extension visa expiring date as well.

Regards
Faisal

No acknowledgment letter

Post by daar » Wed Mar 20, 2013 8:07 am

All

I am a bit worried about current circumstances and would appreciate if I get a bit of help.

I posted my application for Tier 1 extension on 4th March, received by HO on 5th(according to RoyamMail tracking number). Since then I have not heard from UKBA, they have not deducted the money (credit card). I am yet to receive acknowledgment.

I am wondering if anyone else has gone through the same mental torture as me or I am just being too paranoid?

Cheers in advance
Dar

Tier 1 General Extension

Post by me21083 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:12 pm

Hi,
I have not received passport or BRP after biometrics done on 07/03/13. I am worried now as timeline does suggest that 1-3 weeks is max time in last 2 months for visa approval. I think UKBA is again getting a backlog.
Anyhow, I am expediting my application on medical grounds as I have to travel on medical emergencies in family. Let see what happens afterwords.

If anyone have applied after 25-feb, Kindly share your experience even if you have not received passport or BRP.
