Hello guys. Do you have to pay for biometric fingerprint if you put in application for indefinite leave?

Damning silence on the forum. Anyway, I am a Dec 2012 (8th) Set(o) Tier 1/HSMP applicant and my case has just been passed to a caseworker. Anyone know how long the wait is from this point??

Hi guys. Yes, thats the number. There has always been much reluctance to give information. I have called every monday since my 6 month mark and the level of information I receive is varied. Twice though I got through to people who were willing to give more information than the usual "incomplete, just wait". About 4 weeks ago I heard about the Oct applications and was told at the time they had "not got to mine as it was Dec". This week I was told that it is now under active consideration by a case worker and I should await its conclusion. They would not commit as to how long this "active consideration" would go for

A Little Hope

Post by mschauhan » Thu Aug 01, 2013 1:10 am

Hi Guys,

I applied on 7th of December 2013, 2 Years HSMP (JR) + 3Years Tier 1 (General). It was my second that I called UKBA couple of days before. The person attended the phone was not in a very co-operative mood and replied to me with the same answer that I should wait. As I requested humbly that it’s been 7 and a half months now and I am in urgent need of my travel documents. He told me to hold the line for a while. After that he confirmed my Home Address and said that I am gonna hear from UKBA in the next 10 to 15 working days but it’s not guaranteed :) He used this sentence twice that it’s not confirmed and hopefully i will hear from UKBA in the next couple of weeks. Having my fingers crossed. Hopefully have some incoming news for December applicants in near future.

Best of Luck to all. Remember in your prayers and I will remember you in mine.

Kind Regards

Rang today.... the very nice lady told me its 'in progress under consideration'. I asked her if that means its been allocated to a caseworker she said 'I think it is with a caseworker'. Noting the word 'I think', I can only hope......

ILR finally received

Post by justjay » Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:27 pm

Just an update guys, I have today returned home to find a package with my approval letter and documents. As already said earlier, I am an 8th of dec applicant - SET(o) HSMP (2 years) + Tier 1 (3 years). The information I was given three days ago was therefore valid. Just to clarify a few issues I had doubts about - theres no need to submit 5 years worth of P60s - I submitted one. They definitely seem to be also working at clearing the backlog so hang in there guys. All the best, you guys were excellent and supportive on the forum. Now I can finally travel!!!

Referring above
Does this mean there has been no approval for the applications submitted even in Jan-2013.

That is for six months not a single approval..

Spoke to UKBA on 5th Aug 2013, they mentioned that Noverber applications are under consideration, which ties in with latest information below.

Response to my MP's enquiry.

Post by veejaysea » Wed Aug 07, 2013 2:50 pm

I applied in Januarr 2013, Set(O), from HSMP/Tier 1. When 6 months had elapsed in July, I contacted my MP, who contacted the Home Office on my behalf.

Today the following reply came:
Dear (My MP),

Thank you for your enquiry and attachments of 24 July on behalf of (My name) of (my address), about an application for leave to remain in the UK.

I would like to extend my apologies to (My MP) for the delay in processing this application.

As they are aware, unprecedented numbers of applications received by the UK Border Agency in 2012 led to the development of a significant volume of cases in all categories which have had to be considered out of service standard.

However, I have relayed your comments to our administration team and I can advise you that the application is being processed.

The applicant can expect to hear from us in the near future with a decision.

I hope this information is helpful.

My MP's office suggested I get back to them in mid-September if I've not heard anything. Don't think this enquiry has had much impact, but looks from here that I won't see anything soon?

Hi veejaysea,

How long took your MP to respond and home office to your MP?

Would you mind to give some time line ?

Thanks
