Haven't applied for ceremony as still waiting for approval. However their lines are often busy before lunch time. Try calling them after lunch time.vanillaskies wrote:Does anyone have experience with booking ceremony at tower hamlets? I tried to contact them and the phone has been a nightmare. My friend has called HO today to get an update on his application which was under consideration and enquire about the acknowledgement letter as he hasnt received one.
Customer service advisor told him that there r 4 stages of the applications till decision and he did not mention the stages but the info through FOI has mentioned that there r 2 stages of the application. I dont know who to beleive.
Most interesting thing is when he asked them to comfirm his address then he came to know that HO has one of his previous addresses as his currect address where he use to live 4 years ago and he changed couple of address after that. He has been advised to fill in the change of circumstances form.
He called them and came to know that HO has got his wrong address, so all posts must have gone to the wrong address. What if he did not call HO?
Those bunch of incompentent people r not doing correct data entry, not taking decisions according to the law, not dealing with application in timely manner and not following any pattern of work. I thought that HO is just picking up applications randomly but I did not think that they r picking up address randomly too n putting it as applicants current address. that is ridiculous.

Please see my application time line below. Thought I should share with you. Praise be to God the Almighty.
I still cannot believe it took less that 3 weeks from application to receipt of approval letter. Best of luck for those waiting and caught up in last year's chaos.

They input my neighbour house number. I called to see if they sent acknowledgement letter and lucky the guy asked me to confirm my address. Apparently acknowledgement letter is a automatic service the system does, I did ask if can see on the system any letter sent to my address but said can't see. My case is under consideration ...that's all he could tell me. I applied 23/02/15

I have a potential job offer from Qatar on three time more salary than my current. How could I proceed without knowing the status of my application? I can't go for something and sacrifice the other?
Any idea? I'm into 6 months and one week since they received by the big house.
Any idea how can we raise our voices? Radio? newspaper? Demonstration? Or complaints to UKVI?
Hi guys there's noonday can help in this matter all you have to do just wait. I have written a letter to my local MP twice but nothing's difference so far. I am waiting since 20/06/14
The fact that Aumar is considering move to Qatar (or any other country) for that matter demonstrates that he is happy to accept what sacrifices (if any) he/she will be making. Point about sacrifices, they are something which is individual. the benefits you have mentioned for living in Britian may equally be countered by benefits in Qatar at an individual level. That is my opinion on your opinion.
To aumar
From a bit of experience in this, from the time you accept the offer to be in a position to fly out to Qatar, it could take anything from 3 to 6 months. So, if you are 100 per cent sure that this is your dream job offer which you may regret not accepting in future, consider accepting the offer. You can always delay after by asking for more information/clarification on the contract you receive after accepting the offer, this will buy you more time for citizenship approval.
Regarding Naturalisation application, as your 6 months are up, follow the usual steps, contact HO, get MP involved etc. to ensure that you have a response within 2/3 months maximum.
Congratulations mate and thank for ur update.benson147 wrote:Hello people,i applied in auguest last year, after receiving the 3 to 6 month more to process my application, finally today i walked into the door and guess what i found, a a4 size brown envelope with my approval. so anyone waiting from last year i reckon you will get it by the end of the month.
