Don't worry, if fee has been deducted then wait for your approval. They send acknowledgement after deducting fee by 2nd class royal mail. You should get this by next week after your fee taken but sometime they send later. Good Luck!

I have noticed that people who applied at the same time or even a little after me have received their approvals. Hopefully the delay in the processing of my application fee will not delay the whole process too much?

I'm in the same boat. Applied NCS on 13th, received by UKBA on 14th (tracking), no debit of fees or acknowledgement letter. A little worried, but I figure it's just the time of year - could be lots of people on holidays.

Letter from NCS says we should get an acknowledgement within 2 weeks. I plan on waiting until the 27th and then contacting.
