MY timeline (under Tier 2 general on a 5 year route via postal service):

19 October - sent application via post with 1 dependant (Set 0 + 1 dependant)
21 October - money debited from my account
28 October - biometrics done; letter received on the same day
13 November - passport and old BRP received with letter stating i would be receiving my passport and old brp as per new policy; with letter dated 9 November - It also states that "my decision letter would be arriving shorty"

now waiting!!

I hope there is somebody on this forum with almost the same timeline as me! I would really want to chat with you!!!

Have you received your passport and BRP as well with a letter stating that your decision letter would be arriving shortly?

I can see that the waiting times ranges from 7 weeks minimum to 3 months max (for Tier 2 General at least)

Oh wow! After replying to you Eclair, went out to go to town and then checked my mailbox! And Voila! All my documents arrived with a letter stating that my ILR is approved and thus my BRP Card would arrive within 7 days!

That in all things, GOD may be glorified!

submitted mine in june the 24th and from then im waiting, and the patience is about to nada.

My document was posted on 2nd Oct,
HO received and signed on 5th Oct
Money was taken from bank account on 9th Oct
Since then no emails and phone called received.

when did you call to the home office?. and thats weird june/july some of the cases still pending and they started processing cases of september.. can you tell me the number on which you call HO also tell me what you ask them about?.

Alhumdolillah finally got the good news today.

I applied through solicitor and they received documents and BRP on the same day in two different posts.

Following is the timeline of my postal application:

Type of application: Tier 1 General to ILR Set(O) + One dependent
Date of Postage : 16-07-2015
Application Received at HO : 17-07-2015
Acknowledgement Letter : Never received
Biometrics Done : 28-08-2015 (Letters addressed from Liverpool)
Case Progress Emails : Never received
Approval Letter : 16-12-2015 (Dated 14-12-2015)
Documents Returned : 16-12-2015
BRP Delivered : 16-12-2015

If your read this form carefully, it is clearly show most of people will get thr result with in 4 month , so u need to wait for that time dear . I am sure u will get a good feedback from HO 

My timeline is as follows: (ILR VIA 5 YEAR ENTREPRENEUR TIER 1 VISA)
--- Application 16/10/2015
--- Acknowledgement Letter 17/10/15
--- Letter requesting new passport photos ( due to misplacement) 05/11/15
--- Letter confirming that biometry has not been done ( confusion as I have never received Biometry request letter)
--- 2 biometry request letters lost in the post (10/11/15-24/11/15)
--- Successful biometry request and biometry done 26/11/15
--- Emailed them via my solicitors to find out if they received my application together with biometry and a request to speed up due to the loss of personal data ( passport photos) as well as Biometry request letters 15/12/15
--- Confirmation of the application being received as well as the request to speed up 16/12/15
--- WAITING 06/01/16.....
