April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Folks,

My timelines are below:

Eligibility criteria: 5yr + 1yr ILR
Current nationality: Indian
Method of application: NCS
Payment method: Credit Card
Date of application: 01/04/2015
Date of receipt by UKBA: 02/04/2015
Date of debit of fees: waiting
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: Waiting
Date of receipt of approval: Waiting
Date of Ceremony: Waiting


Though I applied before 6th April, NCS adviced me to put new fee in the payment sheet.

But UKVI confirmed that they might not charge the new fee if they received before 6th April.

Guys whose applications received by HO on 02-APR-2015 (last day before fee increase) .. Can any one confirm how much they deducted?

The lady who did my application checking told me that she has sent off my application however,,, today another version, means Version 2 of the Naturalisation form has been released.

Please make sure you fill out the correct form going forward from today onwards.

Thought to share with you all as big money is involved.

Knew this was going to happen at some point, as there was a spelling error on the page where the 1st Referee signs. Other than this, no changes in the form.

I honestly didn't bother to check but she mentioned about some yes and no questions confusions which has been now clarified in the new form.

That's scary for people like me, My NCS appointment is due on Wednesday and one of my Referee is not in the country as well, after reading I straight away checked the UK Visa website and there is no update of the new form version

Sunil0300, Just to help you with this .. you're absolutely right there is no change in the form version and the last update date is in the past as well.

HOWEVER! lucy is right as well. There IS actually a new form that has the same version as the last one and there is no new update date either. Actually, Home Office have only made some obvious corrections in the form and they don't want people to be confused thinking it's a new form, so it appears with same version and date.

You asked for a proof. I have an old scanned copy of the form and I compared it side by side to the one on the website that you referred in your link. The two forms are DIFFERENT I can confirm.

But, you don't need to worry as the form version has not changed and you can go with the version you have got as it's the same version as on the website, just some corrections have been made.

Just a polite note that lucy2011 should be appreciated on the effort of giving everyone a heads-up and it's easy to quickly criticize but one should do their homework first just to be sure (just like you've asked them to be sure)

I literally got the call from the lady at NCS Warwick and i straight away passed on the info to you guys... at least appreciate that instead of u going to NCS and they telling you over there and then returning your forms....

i myself was in shock coz she was supposed to send my docs today.

I know that the new form offers a choice of where the ceremony will be held.

I'm going to submit with old April form. I'll be extraordinarily angry if they refuse on the basis that they did not proof read their own forms.

There have been corrections in the good character section where a whole question was missing, also Page 6 had some formatting changes as well as option for choice of ceremony. Due to the formatting changes some lines of text have moved to the next page, and which is why I would not recommend the mix and match approach which may have more chance of concern.

It should be absolutely fine if you go with the form you have got, as it's version number is the one they have on the website and you genuinely downloaded it from the website. But if you want to use the corrected form, then I would suggest to use that as a whole rather than picking bits from old and new one.
