In-country skilled worker visa application timelines

Hello,
Friends I am in a tough situation at the moment. I m in uk at student visa, I extended my visa in April 2013 but I used TOEIC at that time, now my studies on the basis of this visa is done and it's expiring on 10th of this October. In this time I got married and my husband is on PSW and his company has applied for tier 2 licence to sponsor him. His visa is expiring end of this month. Our plan is to apply for tier 2 and I will put my file as his dependent.
And now the problem is UKVI people are sending detention letters to TOEIC holders. And I am TOEIC holder as well. My visa is expiring already in couple of months but I am sure I'll get that letter very soon from UKVI.

Could anyone please advice what should I do now ?
Should I leave the country before I get the letter and then apply from India as a dependent ?
Or I I don't get the letter in that time and apply as a dependent I am worried it will create the problems as they know I was on TOEIC before ?
Please help I m really tensed

Hi, i can understand your concern , but i think you should
Apply here bcos u never know that they gonna
Send you detention letter or not. Moreover
If you going back and applying that doesnt make difference if they going to detain you .

Thanks for the reply my dear. Does anyone have any idea if in case they send me the letter and ask me to leave in 10 days as they are doing now, then they will ban me for a year. And if then I'l apply as a dependent of my husband who is a work permit holder, will that 1year ban apply in that case or not?

My husband is Tier 4 dependent. He has applied for switching from Tier 4 dependent to Tier 2 General as the company he is working with gave him CoS. We submitted the application on 12th of June 2014. On 21st July my husband received a e-mail from home office team asking him to submit his UK degree certificate. He replied them telling that he has applied for switching from Tier 4 dependent to Tier 2 and not Tier 4 Student to Tier 2. And they agreed to it. Now we got a letter of 2nd August from another person of home office stating that since we did not submit the UK degree certificate , the decision on granting the visa will take much longer.

Can someone please tell what should we do. Our current visa expires on 31st August 2014.

I have applied for Tier 2 general 3 years In country application. All went smoothly and received biometric.
We suddenly realised my company provided me with Sponsorship licence number instead of COS. they recently took Sponsor licence in order to sponsor me, they are unaware of the process. When I ask for COS they gave me a number saying COS(which is actually Sponsor licence number). Yesterday I looked at my friends COS and realised I wrote the wrong number on my application. Went to work and spoke to HR about the same. She then realised and immediately assigned a CoS on my name.

I have posted the COS along with the hand written letter today (6th Aug) explaining the situation that there was some confusion with my Case ID to UKVI. I am shattered not sure what will happen to my application now. I have no idea that the HR lady did not assign a CoS and jus gave me their licence number instead. I tried to confirm with her couple of times before posting application , but she stressed it is the CoS number. I have sent some screenshots from SMS guide today and questioned her again, only then she realised and assigned a COS. I am very worried. Can anyone help me or advise me on this.

had just lost a lower appeal tribunal on Entrpreneur Application ( and i refused to go for upper tribunal ), because i recently got an employer ready to give me necessary Cos and necessary letters for Tier 2 application..

I would like to know if there is any acknowledgement letter sent from UKBA after they receive the supporting documents (signed form and Passport). In my case I have received no communication from UKBA even after one month. Also my online status says Submitted on xxxxxxxxxxx, but i have not received my Biometrics invitation.
Is there any way I can know if the passport is with UKBA? Royal mail confirms the delivery of documents.

No, I didn't send my salary slips as they didn't ask for it in the online application. They just asked for the cover letter, BRP, bank statements, photographs etc. However, I have sent my bank statements which would show my salary for 3 months. Do we have to send the salary slips as well?

Yes, maximum stay is now 6 years.. yeah, my new job is in same profession but with an increased salary.

I think if Royal mail confirms the delivery, then it is delivered.

Hi,

Can I apply Tier 2 General visa from Tier 4 General Visa. Can I switch the visa after current student visa expires? I've got an offer from an company and willing to apply Tier 2 General Visa.
I heard that I can make Fresh Tier 2 Application even after current visa expires but no later than 28 days. So, I can make the application within 28 days of my current visa expiry date? Am I right?

Could anyone help me out.
