Hello I have applied for my spouse visa in pakistan within the old rules and I was wondering whether weekly earnings of £188 with tax is enough I also have £6,000 in savings. Advice very much appreciated.

Do you have any other income apart from the £188 per week? How much is your rent and council tax?

The maintenance requirements under the pre 9th July rules require you to have at least the amount that a couple on income support would receive after your rent and council tax have been deducted from your income.
You can find the relevant rates here:

I think this also applies to your Spouse VISA maintenance requirements. _________________ 08/02/2012 - Application submitted to VFS New Delhi

I have worked out from the amount I earned and the amount I spend monthly how much was remaining from £445.80 (£111.45 weekly) and it certain months I did have less left over. However this was being taken from my savings do savings play a part in this or will they only look at what is remaining from £111.45 weekly?

Are you including utility bills and other spending in your calculation? You only need to deduct rent or mortgage, council tax and any loan repayments.
