| Simple question ..... i and my wife have seperate Tier 1 .... if mine fails (for some reason) then i understand that i can become dependent of my wife's visa .... what is cohabitation period with new change? 2 or 5 years? ... |

| we been married for 7 years and always stay together ... so if we is applying for her ILR in 2 years time and i become her dependent just 1 month before that ... will both of us get ILR together? |

Time spent with leave other than as your wife's dependent doesn't count.
See para 319e (d)(ii) of the rules. |

| Are you sure? I have read MANY post where as long as one of the partner became dependant of primary before applying ILR it was fine ...and even moderators (like sushdmehta) as suggested that ...... |

The rules have changed since 09-Jul-12.
Anyone entering the PBS dependant route after 08-Jul-12 is now subject to 5 years residential period and all these 5 years must have been lived "as a dependant of the principal migrant".
