Hello,

Need some advise on below:

5 year work permit issued on: 8th Jan 2008
Entered UK on: : 30th Jan 2008

Elegible to apply on : 2nd Jan 2013
Visa expires on : 8th Jan 2013

The home office PEOs dont start operating fully until 10th Jan 2013.

Hence is it acceptable for me to apply any sooner ?

Do they not accept and decide applications when they do not (as you say) "operate fully"? All you need is one caseworker (and one senior caseworker, if need be) to be in the office to process your application.

Alternatively, apply by post between 02-Jan and 08-Jan.

A little more research would reveal that you could apply earlier, say immediately after 11th of Dec, 2012 (assuming all conditions are met).

Since you have arrived within 90 days, can't you apply 28 days prior ?

Doesn't this clause fit for Tier-2 / Work permit ?

I have been told that PEOs dont open till 10th Jan.

I called UKBA and they said I could apply after 13th december.
