Good to hear that you got your acknowledgement letter. I applied under article 8 and a rite to family and private life in the uk. Got 2 kids who is british citizen. Ive already done 3 year of discretionary leave so i was sending back for a extention.

Hello

I am in the same situation. I sent mine on pretty much the exact basis as Sanny26. I also sent mine on the same date as you and I am still waiting on an acknowledgement letter from the Home Office. I desparately need this letter for my place of employment.

Any idea how this might impact on my employment?

I was wondering if there's some backlog or someting why the delay... I check my account everyday and the money is still there. Not knowing whats going on is so stressful, especially if your working an need the acknowledgement letter, and its waste of time ringing the homeoffice because they wont give you any answer more than we just got to wait..... Sad

I applied FLR (O) since 02/10/12 and my application received on 05/10/12 still waiting for acknowledgement letter, i presumed the delayed is due to volume of application receives since 09 JULY

Am not sure yet as my solicitor's office handle that area, though i did confirmed the application delivered to UKBA on 05/10/12 . Though my solicitor told me there may be a delay at least 2 weeks before i receive the letter. i will update if there is any news.

I applied under article 8 family life as parent of UK child. We made a fresh application, and received my acknowledge letter around 20 days after they received the recorded delivery. Does anyone know when biometrics will be sent? And does that mean my application has started now? Does that mean by application can be granted because my case is abit twist and not straight forward? And does that mean money has being taking..your response will be highly appreciate.

Base on what read on this board and other forum ,i think you are like ly to receive biometric letter toward end of November 2012 , However until you done your biometric and Ukba received it your application would not be process ,biometric is part of your application and is a stage .

Hie everyone! My DL extension was posted end of September as well, also using a solicitor. I feel a bit comforted that its not just my payment that has not been taken from my account. Being the paranoid one I even called the bank to see if an attempt was made Rolling Eyes . My sons citizenship fee was taken after a few days, so thus one problem down. I am getting depressed about all this. The last time it took them 9 years to grant me leave to remain. However, I shall try to remain positive. Faith is such an important thing.
