If you have, carry the acknowledgement letter mentioned above, just so that any confusion/delay is avoided at the appointment. _________________ Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

Hi Reachern,
I am on the similar situation to you and my VISA (tier 1 General) is upto 14th Dec 2012.
Now, my calculation shows 16th Nov 2012 is the 28th day from the 14th Dec 2012.
But, you mentioned your visa is until 16th Dec 2012 and still you applying some time next week which I guess is in November 1st week.
How is this happening.
I am just curious to know, if I am missing a point out here.
Please update me. However all the best.
Thanks and Regards

Hello All,
We were granted ILR from Solihull PEO yesterday. As already mentioned in this forum by others, Solihull PEO is one of the very best of the lot, with competent staffs(security, biometrics and caseworker).
Appointment was at 10:30.
We were in front of the PEO at 9:30. To our luck the security staff came out for something, saw us and let us in straightaway.
Security check was done (Confirmed the appointment and the Application Form version was correct) and gave us a ticket number and Instruction/feedback sheet. Our ticket number was called and went to the counter around 9:45.
Following documents were asked by the friendly Case Worker.
• Application form and passports.(she was looking at specific pages)
• Life in UK Pass Certificates and Informed our score( My wife got 1 wrong and I didn’t any, expected the other way round though )
• 12 months Salary Slips and bank statements
• Cohab Documents (She took only Tenancy agreement which had our renewal covering the last 2 years). She said she was happy with that even though I had loads of other documents in single and joint names.
I gave the photocopies of the above documents, and she was happy with that.
Then she did some checks on the system for 4-5 minutes and said she was happy with our Application and we will be granted ILR.
She gave us the Payment sheet and passports back , then guided us to the Payment counter to the right.
The lady at the payment counter checked the card details with my card before taking the payment sheet. Told us to wait in the waiting area to be called for Biometrics.
After 15 minutes ...called for biometrics, which took only 10 minutes for us both and was told to wait outside?
Our ticket was called by one of the staff and was told the payment went through fine. Also informed that the official letter and the original documents can be collected in 2 hours, with an option to sit there or go outside. Had a look at the watch to accept the fact that everything was done before our original appointment time which was 10:30.
Came back at 12:00 and our papers/original documents were ready for collection. Checked the documents and filled the Feedback/Instuction sheet and drove back home.
Things to note
• The ticket number is crucial and don’t loose it.
• Give only the minimum documents or only the documents asked for. Giving more documents will lead to waste of time or confusion, or both.
• Having all the Photocopies of Documents can save a considerable amount of time.
This forum with its very experienced Moderators and other experienced users made my sail a very smooth one. I will be happy to contribute to this forum with in my capacity in future. Thanks again.
Any questions welcome. |

Dear reachren
My wife recently became my dependent on my tier 1 visa.
I am about to apply for the ILR now with her as my dependent.
She does not have a biometric from her application as my Tier 1 dependent. Is that a problem for our ILR application?
I do have a biometric as a result of my tier 1 application thouugh. |

Congrats on your ILR...that must be a big relief.
One question - were you asked to provide any proof for your absences from the UK and did you provide any proof ? |

Hello reachren,
I have a specific question, I have ILR appointment on 20th Dec.
When you got the approval letter for ILR...
*Did they put the sticker ILR on your passport or BRP ?
Actually last month I got the Tier-1 General extension on BRP,
But I have to travel on 29th of December... so wondering whether
they would return the
* T1G's BRP or
* Sticker ILR or
* ILR's BRP
Please suggest !
Kind Regards,
