ILR documentation check

Hi Forum,

I have assembled the following documentation for my upcoming ILR appointment, I will appreciate inputs on gaps if any in my documentation. I would also request feedback on the cohabitation documents, as I am not quite sure I have enough:

Required
  • 1. PEO appointment letter copy
    2. Application form SET (O) – 2 copies of payment page, one per card
    3. New and old passports, both myself and partner
    4. 2 photographs for each member with the full name on the back
    5. 12 months recent pay slips (Original)
    6. 12 months recent bank statements (Original)
    7. Life in the UK test pass notification for my partner and myself (Original)
    8. Approval Letters for Tier 1 and HSMP for me and my family (Original)
    Cohab evidences:
    • 1. 3 years council tax bill (joint)
      2. Tenancy agreement (2.5 years, joint)
      3. 36 months banks statements (joint)
      4. 24 months credit card bills in partners name (single)
      5. partner's driving licence (single)
      6. Car insurace docs showing partner as named driver since May last year (joint)
      7. Dental surgery reminder letter for partner (single)
      8. P60s for partner (single)
Optional
  • 1. All pay slips for the period of entire time in the UK (Original)
    2. All bank statements for the period of entire time in the UK (Original)
    3. P60s for last 4 years
    4. Offer letter from the work place
    5. Employer letter
    6. Marriage Certificate
    7. Daughter's birth cetificate
    8. My bachelor's degree certificate
    9. Schedule of absences
    10. Covering Letter

what goes around comes around. My turn now to comment on your thread :)

As you might have seen on my thread, I have placed marriage certificate and the birth certificate of the child in the cohabitation documents.

You should be absolutely fine with cohab documents. But, in case you want to amass a bit more here is another idea. As I see you have P60s for your spouse, I assume you might be using some sort of child care. If possible, the bills of those child care can also be added to cohab proof.

You can have the photocopies of the documents too.

Ok will move marriage certificate and child's birth certificate to cohab docs, and will also put in whatever communication I have from the child care.

Yes. All photo/signature/visa/stamped pages of all dependent applicants' passports.

The D-day is really close for me now, here is a list of my updated documentation. Sorry for puttiing it out again, but need to be absolutely sure:

Required docs and photocopies:

1. PEO appointment letter copy
2. Application form SET (O) – 2 copies of payment page, one per card
3. New and old passports, both myself and partner - copies of Front and back pages, all pages with either visas or entry/exit stamps
4. Schedule of absences - no copies
5. 2 photographs for each member with full name on the back
6. 12 months recent pay slips (Original) - copies of all
7. 12 months recent bank statements (Original)- copies of only front page with name and address, and pages with salary credit
8. Life in the UK test pass notification for my partner and myself (Original) - copies of both
9. Approval Letters for Tier 1 and HSMP for me and my family (Original) - copies of both
10. PBS self-assessment report - No copy

Cohab docs and copies:

1. 3 years council tax bill (joint) - copies of all
2. Tenancy agreement (2.5 years, joint) - copies of first and last page
3. Daughter's birth certificate (joint) - 1 copy
4. Car insurance docs showing partner as named driver since May last year (joint) - 1 copy
5. Marriage Certificate (joint) - 1 copy
6. partner's driving licence (single) - 1 copy
7. P60s for partner (2010-2011 and 2011-2012 - single) - copies
8. Communication from child care (single) - 1 copy
9. Voter cards for partner for May 2012 (single) - 1 copy
10. 24 months banks statements (joint) - no copies (only for backup)
11. 24 months credit card bills in partners name (single) - no copies (only for backup)

Optional docs (no copies for any of them):

Optional
1. All pay slips for the period of entire time in the UK (Original)
2. All bank statements for the period of entire time in the UK (Original)
3. P60s for last 4 years
4. Offer letter from the work place
5. Employer letter
6. My bachelor's degree certificate
7. All available P45s
8. Covering Letter
9. Partners payslips

I have arranged all the required docs, copies, cohab docs and optional docs in separate folders.

If you are by any chance applying on or after December 13th, you may want to keep an eye out to see whether a new version of the SET(O) form is published this week and also what the amended policy guidance states.

That may be a safer option, if you can find a suitable appointment. At a glance your document list appears to be comprehensive.

Dont' worry too much. Solihull folks are very caring and understanding. Worst case, they would ask you to go to the library and print a fresh set of forms.

I wouldn't worry too much, but suggested the option of changing the date only to simplify the process. I've seen other forum member experiences where their application has been returned as invalid due to using an older version of the form, so thought it would be worth mentioning. As Solihul is considered to be one of the more applicant friendly PEO's I wouldn't worry.

I'm keeping an eye out for the new policy changes myself as I will be applying next month & would like to find out what, if anything different, needs to be done when listing absences, as that appears to be the main change when it comes to settlement applications. I.e. whether or not an employer letter is needed to confirm all annual leave absences however small this number is. At the moment its just a matter of the applicant listing them on the form, if within the allowed threshold.

No. Only the principal migrant is subject to the allowed absence threshold, not dependant(s).

It looks like you had a better experience than this applicant at Croydon PEO with the Biometric System going down. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=120684. It appears that the generally unreliable UKBA IT systems couldn't handle the load of applicants today. They did also have to publish all the immigration rule changes & affected forms.

Hopefully they will get back to everyone who was affected within the next week. Glad to hear you had a good experience at Solihul & hope you get your approval letter back soon. From what you have mentioned it doesn't sound as if though there will be a problem.

I have one question for you though, did your absences go beyond the 180 day threshold? Or the 90 day single absence threshold? And were you asked for a personal letter stating that all absences were taken as part of your annual leave? This is one of the key changes in the new guidance and form, hence the reason for asking.

Nope. Total absences within 180 days, no single absence more than 90 days.

No employer letter asked for at all.
