I am EEA national and eligible to apply for BC

Post by jonney123 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 7:28 pm

I am EEA national( Polish citizen) and eligible to apply for British Citizenship on 10/03/2013 after successfully completing of 6 years in UK.
My Polish passport is expired in Oct 2011 but I have Valid Polish ID card valid until 15 Aug 2013.
My question is do I need Valid ID or Passport for 6 months before I can apply for British Citizenship or 3 months is sufficient.
Also my kids (UK Born) Polish passports expired in 2011 so do I need for their Valid passports to apply British Citizenship.

I will be very thankful to all of you.
Please give me advice.
Annita

A valid passport is not a requirement for naturalisation. ID card or expired passport should be good enough.

Hi, I had the same case , passport expired in 2011. NCS lady called UKBA and confirmed the expired passport is fine. She copied it and ID as well. Don't worry.
