Help with filling EC forms!!

Hi there

I am filling the EC application forms and got the following questions, I would appreciate if you can shed some lights on this.

1) Visa type to apply: is it work permit visa (section 1).

2) HSMP holder will fill VAF1 form and partner will need to complete VAF2 form, right? but how come VAF1 is called not settlement while VAF2 is settlement? it sounds confusing to me as the partner will settle while HSMP holder won't?

3) When BHC issueing the visa, do they consider the date you intend to arrive? or the visa will be valid from the date of issue?

4) What's the implication if you say yes to "set yourself up in business"? I guess as a HSMP holder, we are allowed to do that?

5) Section 7.3, do we have any WP number? is it the same as the approval number at the bottom of the HSMP approval letter?
