Application to remain in UK in last 10 years

Hello,

I have submitted Visitor Visa applications for my parents. they have previously visited me in UK in 2012. they leave before visa expiry and no rules were breached during their stay here. For the question - Have you made any applications to the home office to remain in the UK in last 10 years?

I have answered YES, as I misunderstood the question and have given details of their previous visit visa reference number and application date. The application has already been submitted today. I should have answered this as NO as this is applicable only for applications made within the UK. Their previous Visit visa application was made from India.

Does this result in rejection of the current application? and subsequent ban? I feel this mis-representation is not hiding any fact of refusals or deportation or overstay, in fact the previous visa was granted.

kindly help me out to get some peace of mind.
