After EC - open UK bank account

Hi there
I need your advice on opening a UK bank account.

As I am going with my partner, do we need to have separate bank accounts or can we just share a single joint account? I am not sure whether there are any implications or issues/concerns in using a single joint account.

I dont think sharing a bank account is an issue. FYI, HSBC has a passport account that you can set up with out needing any UK residence info. You will need bank statements and other address verification info from your home country though.
