Difference between Form16 and ITR1 Acknowledgement

Hi,

I have original Form 16 and ITR1 acknowlegement. But there is a small difference on the way Gross Salary is shown on both the documents.

Gross Salary on Form 16 shows the total amount before any exemptions where as on the Income Tax return, it shows the Gross Salary (Actually Gross Taxable Income) after deducting the HRA and conveyance allowance.

I am planning to submit both Form16 and ITR1 to aviod any hassles, but not sure if this difference can raise a concern. so if I submit both the documents, how do I explain it to the home office?
