Accomodation for Spouse Entry Visa

Post by dodo2014 » Wed Dec 03, 2014 7:59 pm

Dear All,
I have an ILR visa, and am currently looking into renting a studio flat, and use it in my husband's spouse visa application.
Does anyone know if renting studio flat meets the immigration accommodation requirement, or does it have a be at least a one bed flat, i.e, individual bedroom, with separate living room, separate Spam etc?
Also, would I need to employ someone to carry out property inspection to support the visa application if I rented a studio flat?
Thank you for time, and any help is greatly appreciated!

Studio flat should be fine provided you get the supporting letter to back it up. You'll need a letter from your landlord that your partner can live there and your tenancy agreement.
Inspection report isn't compulsory but I did to put my mind at rest, but yours isn't a shared flat and might not be necessary.

Urgent help required

Hi,

Currently I am in the UK but by origin I am from Pak. I would like to change my status into spouse visa. please help me by answering these two questions...

1. six months ago I bought my house with my wife for £150,000. Do I still need the accommodation certificate even though I own a house and we are living in it ?

2. I have done my ILETS in 2004 for my UK student visa and then did my graduation from a well known UK university, Do I still need to do A1 level test to show my knowledge of English ?

I am confuse as everyone/solicitor is coming up with their own version.

Kind Regards
Raf
