Steve Bone Calling from homeoffice

Post by Paraveerleo » Mon Nov 30, 2015 4:05 pm

Hi, I got a call from some one called Steve.bone from sheffield home office, he has all my details to some extent, and was inquiring of my initial employment and the company I was dealing with as self employed.
He would not discuss with me but wanted to meet me in person @ a market place.

I asked him to e mail, for the details he provided the local 01142 Sheffield number does not work, some times some one picks and says they would not tell where the call is from, the person is not available, but only his mobile gets picked.
Any one has got such a call. please reply. Are these people from Home office

The Home Office would never ask you for a meeting in a market place! Neither would they call you from a mobile. This is obviously a scam and you should report the call to the police, or follow instructions in this link:

You may also want to add your experience to this lengthy thread on current scams involving f a k e calls claiming to be from the Home Office

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

They would never want a meeting in a market place - that's obviously a scam.
