ESOL and GESE

Post by m.sheikh » Sat Jul 06, 2019 12:52 pm

Hi,

Need a little help here please.

B1 certificate from Trinity College says

"Graded Examination in Spoken English"
Entry Level Certificate in ESOL International
(speaking and listening) (Entry 3)
CEFR Level B1.1

This was last used in November 2016 for a FLRM application, now I need to apply for ILR. My question is, is this certificate ESOL or GESE (graded examination in spoken english) as it says both.

As far as I know ESOL are not accepted anymore, does anyone knows if I can still use this cert for english language requirement.

Thanks

Also does anyone know when HO stopped accepting ESOL, was it in 2015 ?

ESOL to meet the English language requirement ceased to be accepted after November 2015
(Casa, not CR001)
