Dependant of Ancestry Visa applying for ILR

Hey team,

Im sure this is all in here somewhere but theres a lot of topics to go through to find it!
Myself and partners visas are coming to the end of the 5years.
She has ancestry, im her dependant.
We are looking to go onto ILR, and just have a couple of questions....

1) Whats the latest one can apply for the new visa, if the current one expires on the 1st June, can you apply on the 1st June? i know you cant apply til 28days before it expires but i may need to push it to its limits.

2) As the dependant do i actually need to apply at exactly the same time? If she applies the first day she can 28 days before, could i then apply 20 days after?

3) When i look on the immigration page for the route im supposed to take to apply, do i go with "You're the family member or partner of someone who has settled in the UK" or something else??

1. Upto the last date of your visa. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online. Why do you want to wait till the last minute??

2. Yes but why would you want to do that??

3. No. You apply on form set o. Far easier to apply together at the same time as only one form is required.

Essentially i have a trip that i need/really want to go on that gets me back the day before my visa expires.
So i cant apply early, as i cant travel whilst applying?
I just wanna make sure that if im all prepared and apply online the night before that it doesnt put me in any state of illegality.
