Working in europe of ancestry visa

Post by emmas351 » Tue Mar 03, 2020 7:27 pm

Hi all I searched for a relevant topic before posting this but couldnt find what I needed. I'm applying for indefinite leave to remain soon and am worried. The home office have often given me contradictory answers to questions so I fear I may be screwed. I worked for a uk company in Barcelona and Hamburg. Both for 6 days each time. I rang the visa line and they said it would be ok it would just count to absences. I have now read lots of evidence contrary to that. I also told my bosses I cant work in europe and they said they checked and it was ok. It was an event that travels all around the world. I wonder if that makes it exempt. Anyway do you think this is grounds for refusing my ilr application as breach of visa conditions...I would have never done it if I had been told it would affect application. Has anybody been refused on these grounds?

Your ancestry visa is specific to the UK and your visa conditions only apply to the uk. It has nothing to do with Europe and European immigrations rules.
