I got a response back to a Freedom of Information request this week.
Average processing time in Dublin for Join Family Visas for family of Irish citizens has more than doubled in 2025 to 407 days.
Two thirds of applications have taken more than 12 months. In 2024, only 9% did.
They're on course to process fewer visas in this category than they did in 2022 (and every year since).
If anyone is going through this process, FOI is very helpful for getting your hands on more info. A fairly easy process to manage to. Would recommend.
