EEA national, pregnancy grant/child benefit

I'm a 37 weeks pregnant EEA national and has been working here since July. If I claim pregnancy grant and/or child benefits, will it affect my non-EEA partner who will be applying for EEA Family permit to join me after the baby is born because of the "no recourse to public funds thingie" for him?
