Hi all,
is there anyone that applied in April?
Applied on 04/04/2012
Biometric done on 09/06/2012
Still waiting for the outcome.
Look forward to hearing from you guys.
Cheers

Some people who applied in Feb haven't received their papers back. The majority of March applications are still to be dealt with. I doubt any April applications have been returned, although on the other "ILR Processing Timelines - postal app. (excluding 10/14 yr.)" thread an applicant who applied in April was successful who requested the application to be expedited.

Ahh, thanks for the reply. I was hoping to go uni later in october so hopefully by than everything is sorted.

Super premium service cannot be used for 10 year applications. Someone posted confirmation of this from a UKBA email a while back. Apparently it is a "mistake" on the UKBA website.

A total of 588 SET (O) applications were received during week commencing 20th February 2012.
Of the 588 applications received, a total of 529 applications have been processed, with 59 still pending. There is always a number of applications in the work in progress queue because of the checks that have to be made.

However, I think this is for all set (O) categories. I wonder how many of the 588 applications is for long residence.

The response is contradictory. First it states that the average processing time for SET(O) postal applications received between 20 and 26 February 2012, was 96 calendar days. Then goes on to say that these figures relate to postal applications as well as applications submitted at PEOs.

Hi Guys,

It is a good news. After waiting for a long time, finally I got a phone call from my lawyer this after that home office has approved my ILR application and send all the document and passport. But, the lawyer have not got Biomatic card yet. Hopping to arrive the biomatric card shortly.

Applied 06/03/2012
Acknowledgement 08/03/2012

BRP done 31/03/2012

Once I receive BRP card and passport on my hand, I will let you guys know rest of my time line and any additional information.

Finally, I would like give special thanks to the owner of this web site for creating opportunity to sharing our views and opinion which is incredibly helpful for helpless people and know current trend of new updates and over all situation. If one does not naturalise by then you must get the card renewed like a passport. Does not mean you pay the ILR fee again.

Dear all,

I am applying ILR in jan 2013, i got three points FPN due to not follow the traffic sign. I applied the extension last year and mentioned this on my application. The case working make special note on my approval letter saying UKBA consider all type of FPN as conviction and i must have to declare this in my future application.

I am not sure if points spent in three years or five years ? will i be ok in my ILR ?

Hello everyone

Thought I just write a msg before I applied via post - would appreciate some feedback as you folks on this forum seem to know a lot

- I came to the UK on the 16th of Sep 2002 - So I can apply on the 18th of Aug 2012 (even though its a Sat - The post office is open)

- I assume that for the 10 year route they only ask for Passports, LIUK (with copies) but there is always mention of people sending in letters , bank statements and mortgage agreements - Is this really necessary. I mean if it was , they would have asked for them. Has anyone been refused the ILR - Long Residence by not sending documents that haven’t been asked for?

- Is it a good idea to pay for a lawyer? I am not sure if legal representation is a good value or not.

yes you only need valid form photos pasport and LIUK cerificate. if you want you can add supporting docment but they are not required atlot.

what we notice in this diss board that people apply through soliciter got their passport back bit earlier then people apply theirself otherwise if its straigth forward case then you not need soliciter.
i hope thats help

Hi
I am completing 10 years in Sep 2012(all student visa). What are the documents do I need to send along with my application. I have got 3 dependents(my husband & 2 kids) with me. Do I need to take Life in the UK test? Pls Anyone can guide

Yes you need to take the life in the UK test. You need to apply on Form SET (O). The long residence category does not allow dependants on the same form. So your husband needs to use a separate form FLR (M) and also include the kids on that form.

Thx for your help. So regarding my husband & Kids do I need to send FLR(M) at the same time when I apply for ILR or later after receiving my ILR.Pls guide

You can send it

1) at the same time as you or
2) send it after you get your ILR or
3) if their visa expires before you get your ilr, send it before their visa expires with a copy of your acknowledgement from the UKBA.

If your husband and kids don't have atleast 6 months left on their visa from now (as it takes 6 months your visa to be issued) I suggest you send it all together with yours.

Thx for ur help. So if I send their FLR(M) application before their visa expires so how much visa extension they will get initially. Pls guide

Hi guys, quick question..
I applied for ILR initially on March 30th 2012 but used the wrong form (without the biometrics section). This was obviously sent back so I sent in the new form the very next day, and it was received on the 30th of May.
I received my biometric invitation recently and completed it on the 30th of July 2012 in Croydon.

I was wondering whether I should be 'counting down the days' from my initial application or my second one? (I did speak to someone at HomeOffice before I sent in my new application and he said it shouldn't take another 6 months, and also advised me to send in the old form and the letter received with it along with the new application.)

Any help is much appreciated as I've had my uni placement deferred for the past 2 years and would like to know if there is a chance of it coming back in time for me to start uni in sept/oct.

Additional details:
- I have been on student dependent till April 2011 and on a 3 year Limited Leave to Remain since then.
- My mum also applied for ILR in late Nov 2011 and she got hers back on March/April (can't remember exactly).

HI!

When I applied for my ILR, based on the 10 years, I only send my old biometric card, old and current passport, pictures and life in the UK test result, I did it myself and it took 5 months, I have a friend who applied through a solicitor since January and she is still waiting, you can do it yourself, if you are sure that you do not have any gaps. Good luck. (I also applied on a Saturday).

A bit confused here! So you applied 2011 and received in 2011?! because I was of the impression you just received a reply from HO.
