Tier 1 visa refused due to a typo in employer letter

Post by siva2628 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:35 pm

Hi I live in UK. My tier 1 visa was refused due to a typo in earnings letter from my employer. One of the net payments did not match with the bank statement although the payslip has the correct amount. Just wanted to know if I get a letter from my employer stating the error what are my chances of a successful appeal.

Its worth trying. If you submit the letter from the employer the same should be considered during the appeal. The process could be a bit time consuming though.

If one of the payments did not match should not rest of the payments be considered? Why is entire earning disqualified?
If 1 or 2 records did not tally should rest of the records for 12 months period claimed be considered?

BHC shows no mercy. However its also applicant's responsibility to give reasons where ever applicable.

siva it would have been fair if you had checked all documents carefully before submitting. BHC people do check/verify each and every detail meticulously at least for maintenance funds & past earnings.

Go for appeal. It might help

Yes I know I have made a big mistake :( . But I had also provided my pay slips which had the correct amount paid to my account. This should have been considered. Well anyways I am going for an appeal. Wish me luck.

One of the requirements not to get rejected is NET Salary should match exactly with NET deposit in Bank.. if it is not matching than WELCOME TO UKBA..

Other point is Do the OP have enough points to qualify if HO does not consider the mismatching month? If not, than not having enough points can be a cause of rejection

Another example of why you should submit only required documents. There was no need to submit a letter from the employer if one has payslips. Keep it simple.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

My appeal was successful :) . Had the hearing yesterday in Newport Wales.

Now another long wait starts to get my passport stamped.

HI ALL,

I WANT TO APPLY FOR TIER1 IN UK,BUT I HAVE A TYPO IN PAYSLIP .

MY PAYSLIP IS SHOWING MY BARCLAYS ACCOUNT NUMBER ON IT AND SALARY IS CREDITED IN TO MY HSBC ACCOUNT .

TRIED GETTING LETTER FROM MY EMPLOYER BUT THEY ARE NOT GIVING.

IS IT SUFFICIENT TO EXPLAIN THE CASE IN COVERING LETTER OR IS IT MUST TO GET A LETTER FROM EMPLOYER.

PLEASE REPLAY WANT TO APPLY THIS FRIDAY.
