Today i collected my passport with Tier 1 visa stamped.

I had enclosed the following:
1. Tier 1(General) application form for an initial grant of leave (switching) under tier 1 (general) of main applicant along with payment details.
2. Points Based calculator- PDF sheet printed from PBS online system showing points claimed
3. Age: 26 years 8 months
a. Points Claimed: 20
b. Evidence Submitted: Original Passport
4. Qualification: Bachelors of Engineering (University of Mumbai)
a. Points Claimed: 30
b. Evidence Submitted: Original Degree Certificate
5. Earnings: Total Earning in GBP 54,010.06/-
a. Points Claimed: 30
b. Earning Period: 1st June 2009 to 31st May 2010
c. Factor Applied: 5.3 as entire earning was earned when I was physically in India
d. Exchange Rate: 0.01467
e. Total Earning in Indian Rupees: INR 6,94,655/-
f. Evidence Submitted:
i. Salaried Earning
1. Pay slips signed and stamped by employer for 12 months
2. Original Bank Statement for 12 months
3. Income Tax return for last Indian Financial year 2009-10
ii. Contracting/Self Employment Earning
1. Copy of invoice given to client
2. Letter from accountant
3. Original Bank Statement
4. Original work order from client
5. Original Receipt Letter from Client
6. Tax document from client
6. English Language: Bachelors Degree taught in English
a. Points Claimed: 10
b. Evidence Submitted:
i. Original Degree Certificate
ii. Print of Points based calculator indicating my degree is present in the Home office’s database
7. Maintenance Funds: More than GBP 800/- since past 4 months
In addition to these normal documents I had also attached print out of Exchange rate from Onada website for 31 May 2010(last day of earning period) and Point Based calculators output (pdf).
I am thankful to all the members of this forum and my friends who have helped me in gathering all the necessary documents and information.
Initially i had thought of going through a consultant but after going various posts and experiences on this forum I gained confidence and applied on my own and saved some money as well.
