1. Date of posting application & method: 19/01/2012
2. Date application fee was debited, if known: 22/01/2012
3. Date when Acknowledgment letter with UKBA reference number received: Not received
4. Biometrics at postoffice : 12/03/2012
5. Biometrics again (as the photo captured was improper) : 6/04/2012
6. BRP via DX couriers : 18/05/2012
7. Passport and docs : 21/05/2012

it seems UKBA is taking 6 weeks after biometrics to decide on the application and in my case it took exactly 4 months to get the VISA approval.

Thanks,
Aani

Tier 1 dependant extension for child <18 yrs old

Current vignette: Tier 1 Dependant
Date of expiry of current leave: 30-Aug-2012
Date of Application: 20-Aug-2012 (by RM Special Delivery)
Date reached Home Office: 21-Aug-2012
Payment debited on: 24-Aug-2012 (Visa debit)
Biometric letter received: 6-Sep-2012
Biometric enrolled: 10-Sep-2012
Approval: 21-Nov-2012
Passport return: 22-Nov-2012
BRP: 26-Nov-2012

We had contacted our MP (who called UKBA and said their best guess was mid Dec), then sent a letter and a fax (with copies of plane tickets - nonemergency travel) to Sheffield office. Not sure if this had any effect ...

I expedited the process by sending an application by fax (01142072536) to Sheffield office

Expedited Application sent on: 19-October-2012

I AM RECEIVING MANY PRIVATE MESSAGES REGARDING THE EXPEDITED PROCESS

you can do this only if you have any emergency and you want your dependent's passport

in my case my mother-in-law was sick and i wanted to travel urgently with my family

1. I included A letter from Hospital doctor explaining the condition of my mother-in-law.

2. Also I included another document it was a ECG report of my mother-in-law (I think its not necessary but I included)

3. Cover Letter (including child application reference No, date of birth, full name, and reason why I want to expedite the case )

4. Copy of my airline tickets.

its up to them if they approve your application and process the visa on urgent basis.

Thanks All
