Tier 1 extension and addition of dependents

Hi
I have a tier 1 visa(got from India) which to expire in June 2012. While extending it I want to add my wife and child. Currently my wife has a Tier 2 and is not my dependent. Wanted to know if I can add them as dependent from the UK or does she have to apply seperately from India?
