Family visitor visa for parents - Bank Statements

Post by pramo » Sat Jan 21, 2012 3:09 am

Hi,

I am in the process of applying my parent's visitor visas who are planning to visit UK for the second time. They've already come here on visitor visa during 2009.

I have my own limited company and recently I've taken a huge amount as loan from my company which is reflected in the bank statements.
My parents are planning to apply for the visitor visa by end of February and I have taken this loan on October end.

So my question here is
Should I submit bank statements for 3 months or 6 months. if I submit the bank statements for 3 months, then the loan amount will not come into picture?
If it is best to submit bank statements for 6 months, should I also submit my limited company business account statements as a proof of the loan to justify where the amount has come from?

Hi pramo

Since its just a visitor visa, I do not think that the immigration officials would be that much fussed about the amount covered by the bank statements.

However if you decide to provide 6 months worth of statements I would suggest that you also add a letter from your accountant explaining the loan, terms of the loan if any and that the company is in profit etc. You do not need to provide your company bank statements because the transaction on your account show the company name clearly if it was transferred through a business bank account.

Hope this helps.

Is that a mandate to provide 6 months bank statements from my side as part of supporting documents or will 3 months bank statement do?

My parents would be submitting 6 months of bank statements anyway but not sure whether 3 months would suffice from my end.

3 months bank statement will suffice for visitors visa applications
