Regarding Question E8 in Dependant App Form

Post by ashehzi » Sun Feb 19, 2012 7:27 pm

Dear all,

I need some insight into this question.

On Tier-1 General Dependant Application Form, http://ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteconte ... ation1.pdf, if we read question E8, it says:

E8. Have you ever been refused entry clearance/visa or leave to enter or remain in the UK?
YES or NO.

Let me explain you my scenario before I can decide to write YES or No in this case.

I have to apply for Tier-1 extension along with my two dependants as they are here with me.
============================
My wife and daughter applied as dependents of Tier-1 migrant in Dec-2010. Their application was rejected under Appendix E 319c (g): http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... 1migrants/

It says as follows

You have applied with your daughter; therefore, you need to show evidence of £3200.

You have not provided a bank statement with your application. Therefore, you have failed to provide any evidence showing that your sponsor has these funds available.

It says you can appeal for the decision using Appeal Form IAFT-2, which can be sent to Visa Section of British Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

At that time, we did attached bank statement but somehow entry clearance officer didn't see it as it was just one page bank statement.

Later on, we applied for "appeal review requests" for her and our daughter and the decision was overturned and they got visas within a month after the appeal.
============================

Now, my question is how should I respond to this question E8 in Tier-1 dependant Application Form. Should I say YES or NO?

warm regards,

"Yes". There was a refusal (although later overturned).
