Dear members,
Need a bit of advice/thoughts from your experience or knowledge on the matter.
We are thinking of applying for a 10 year visa for my parents. They have been to UK a few times before - 3x times for my dad, and 4x times for my mom. Mom came in 2015 (2 weeks), 2018 (6 weeks), 2021 (10 weeks), 2022 (12 weeks) and 2023 (5 weeks). My dad came in 2015 (2 weeks), 2018 (2 weeks), 2021 (10 weeks), 2022 (9 weeks).
These visits were on 6-month visas in 2015/2018 and 2-year visa on 2021-2023. We think it makes sense to apply for the 10 year visa now. My mom is retired and draws a small pension £1700 ( paid in indian rupee) per year. My dad is retired from his regular job and draws pension from that job of £7000 per year. He also works as a consultant and earns £16000 per year. They have good savings too - around £10k. They both own a property each in India. I am going to write an invitation letter and confirm that they will live with us for hte duration of the visit but my parents will support their own costs! This is what I have always done.
It should be straight forward application? I am just a bit nervous that in case they reject its a big loss of money. Secondly they have visited like 2-3 times in the last 5 years - would that make case worker think that they dont need 10 years visa?
Lastly, they have travelled to Dubai, Vietnam, and Thailand in the last 5 years - so that will be added in the application. And both have 10 year US visit visas - which wont be added in the application because they have not travelled there yet.
What would be your opinion? Is there anything more I could add to their application?
