100% success to get naturalised?

Post by Ixeon659 » Tue Feb 18, 2025 9:08 pm

My wife has recently successfully received her Settled Status via Lounes Route (as a non-EU family member of British-European dual national). Now it's time for her to apply for British citizenship. We've counted all days she was abroad during last 3 days and it is 100 days above 270 days threshold, so we will have to wait until autumn when it will be less than 270 days in total. Meanwhile, she will take Life in the UK test and B1 language test and get referees as well.

Regarding other stuff:
No offences, no police records, no immigration breaches in the past, no debts and other things like that. Quite a lot of travels to Russia during covid and Ukraine war (she is a national of Russia) - shouldn't be a problem?

She is registered as a self-employed from 2023, so she will need to attach just the most recent tax return with her application?
The only thing I am slightly worried about is that I am planning to dissolve my limited company soon, can this action affect her application somehow? She is also registered as an employee in my limited company (not as a director).
If that's not a problem, then it looks like it is a pretty straightforward application that won't be refused?

There is no reassurance that someone's application will be definitely accepted. That being said nothing of what you wrote highlights glaring issues as far as your wife will have a stamped passport that will be enough to prove her residence. Citizenship applications.get approved based on statutory requirements. The acceptance rate is very high but no one can tel you that you will definitely get approved. Just prepare everything according to the guidance.
