About IGS extension if tier1-Gen gets rejected.- need reply

Post by jimmymcad » Mon Oct 20, 2008 11:34 am

My friend is on IGS. His visa will expire at the end of Ocotober 2008. He has already applied for Tier1 in his one 1 year time period though he could have extended it one more year under PSW -Teir1.

My question is, his IGS visa will expire in this month but his application is still with Home Office. What is the chances for him to extend his IGS, if his tier1 application gets rejected?. Will he be still to file his IGS extension after his visa expiry? Or he should leave the country to avoid overstaying and lodge the application outside the UK. Please suggest
Thanks in advance.

I've had friends who were in the similiar kind of a situation.

Not to discourage , but the the truth is, couple of my friends left the country when their HSMP were rejectedand their IGS also ran off.

Consult a solicitor... might be worth it.
