Absences from UK - Tier-1 General to ILR (5 yr route)

Post by neesh » Mon Jan 13, 2014 10:02 pm

Hi All

I have a query that may have already been answered on this forum but i fail to find the exact thread.

I am planning to apply for ILR under 5 years route on a Tier 1 General visa

I have done my calculations and i have been outside of UK for around 116 days in the last 5 years for personal visits to India (majority) and a few to Schengen countries for tourism. Do I need to get a letter from my employers and ex-employers confirming these holidays? Just so that i am clear, i was permanently employed during all those holidays. These were annual leaves that i took to visit back home or Schengen countries for tourism.

Also during one of those holidays i went over my paid leave allowance of 28 days by around 10 days (however my total out of UK days for that calender year were around 50). Would this be a problem (with regards to continuous stay?)

i appreciate your help
