Absences

Post by tier1extension » Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:42 am

When looking at my passport, some of the stamps have already become blurred so could not work out the days exactly when I arrived or left the UK on some of the trips, but i am 100% sure in total I have only made about 80 days in total of trips for all of 5 years. How shall I write them in the application form SET 0 if the stamp is blurred in the passport?

Have you tried checking any online bookings you may have done for dates?

You can write to border control for a list of dates, I think they charge you or it.

thanks, is this the correct site for the info where i can make the request?

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/navig ... onal-data/

do i really have to completely and accurately list the dates of when I am in and out of the country? can't i make an estimate if it is just 1 or 2 days difference and it is for just one trip that i am making an estimate, and then just explain that in my cover letter?

how are absences counted? for example, if i fly out of the uk today and arrive back in the uk tomorrow, is that counted as 2 days or 1 day?

The day you leave and the day you return aren't counted.
