Accomodation prrof for Ectry Clearance on HSMP

Hi,
REcently I applied for HSMP and got the approval from homeoffice UK and now planning for EC.
I will be staying there in UK with one of my friend for that my friend has sent me the copy of tenancy agreement, copy of council tax bill, bank account bill, an invite letter this way his address is mentioned everywhere on every document, but in tenancy agreement the agreement is shown as 17-november-2007 to 14 may-2007, while it should be 14-may 2008, he knows that there has been a misrake while preparing it.
He is also ready to provide me two more docs in support of that the agreement is uptil 14May-2008.
Please let me know your thoughts and suggestion on this.
Shall I go ahead an accomodation with my friend or shall I opt for the hotel accomodation.
My only concern is that I should get the EC.

I urgently need your help on the same

When I recently applied for my EC, I included just a signed letter from the person I was to be staying with stating this arrangement was fine with them. There was no proof of ownership/tenancy or anything beyond that simple statement and the address of the residence along with a contact number (which they didn't call), and my EC was granted with no problems. You may be creating unnecessary work for yourself.

One caveat - my EC was made from the USA, where I'm a citizen, and it's possible that they're not as strict with applicants from that country. I have no evidence as to whether or not this is true though.

Just for your Info. I booked a guesthouse for my friend with HSMP for 10 days. The guesthouse replied with booking done. There wasnt any specific content in the booking letter, Just a informal email from the guesthouse. While applying he mentioned the address of guesthouse and copy of email. After getting the confirmation that he got the VISA. He decided that he will stay with his friend. And I cancelled his booking.
