Achievement Score question

Hello,

I am a lil bit confused about "Significant achievement" section.

I worked for a fortune 500 company where I prepared many patent applications. 1 of those applications was appreciated by the review team a lot and was filed with Indian government Patent office. It is still undergoing the approval process by Patent office.

Will it be considered “Significant Achievement”?
If yes, what all documents are required for scoring points in this category?

If no, what is considered as “Significant Achievement” for an IT professional? Can somebody who has scored in this section, please comment?

I don't mean discouraging. I feel a mere filing of patent application may not earn points. If the patent has already been approved, then this has the chance for scoring points.

Regarding what contitutes "significant achievements" for IT professionals, I believe the following may be considered:

(1) Approved Patents (This may be one of the evidence, but this alone is not enough)
(2) Proof that your solution/invention has benefitted the industry, evidenced by recoginition from peers and professional bodies.
(3) Technical Paper publications in reputed international journals.

You need to provide three types of evidences to prove your achievements.

The patent approval process usually takes 1-2 years. I have no points in earnings sections. So i think, its of no use applying for HSMP now.
