Adequate maintenance question

Post by sunderlandnyc » Fri Sep 11, 2015 2:40 am

Hi,

I am applying for a settlement visa for my fiancé who lives in the United States. I receive Disability Living Allowance payments which makes me exempt from the financial requirement. However, I am worried about 'adequate maintenance'.

I receive a monthly payment of 450.20, which is a weekly sum of 112.55.

My mother, who I live with, receives a Carer's Allowance of 62.10 per week for my care.

I also have a personal savings account of 10,000.

Will I have enough to cover 'adequate maintenance'? I am worried it will not as I heard that it has increased to 114.85 per week.

Also, is my mothers Carers Allowance included in my adequate maintenance?
Thank you.
